Yamafuku
Chef’s Right Hand
Steeped in the kaiseki tradition, Yamafuku is a Chef’s right hand man, making time-honoured Japanese delicacies for restaurants and hotels in this world of manpower shortages.
Their ready-to-eat dishes, components, and wagashi sweets are convenient, and yet taste handmade and not commercial at all.
Yamafuku is also the #1 Osechi maker in Japan, customising the auspicious new year box of delicacies for many top hotels, restaurants, and companies.
It’s a warm, beating, sincere heart behind the food, and you can taste it
“Rather than being distracted by the food sector, which places a higher emphasis on quantity over quality, we have always been conscious of being the right hand of a chef and have continued to focus on providing ingredients with good taste and quality. That is why we have been able to continue operating in the black, even during difficult times such as the collapse of the bubble economy, the Heisei Great Recession, and the numerous earthquakes and disasters. We will continue to approach food as a chef's right hand, without wavering from the value of ‘the finest products’."

Wagashi, Sweets & Desserts
Supporting chefs behind the scenes in the kitchen, in the most time consuming and labour-intensive pastry section, Yamafuku draws richly on Japanese tea ceremony and wagashi culture to create a deep and thrilling portfolio of Japanese sweets.
Yamafuku also draws on Japan’s admiration for the West to create classics like choux, gateaus, flans, rare cheesecakes, pastries, sorbets and ice cream to complete this ready-to-eat dessert range.

New Year Osechi
Osechi is a beloved Japanese New Year tradition, and a food culture that is filled with wishes and hopes, such as bountiful harvests, good health, and prosperity of descendants. Yamafuku produces original Osechi with a rich lineup of over 500 dishes and 50,000 ingredients every year, and is the #1 Osechi maker in Japan.
Top hotels and companies customise Osechi with Yamanaka, building unique treasure boxes that represent their own brand. We invite you to do the same, to create a meaningful and memorable festive offering.
Yamafuku's manufacturing base, Himuka Food Workshop, located in Aya Town, Higashi Morokata District, Miyazaki Prefecture, uses Miyazaki's abundant ingredients and the mineral-rich water of Aya Town, which has been selected as one of the 100 famous waters of Japan. We carefully cook and create unique original foods one by one. Skilled chefs take the time and effort to carefully hand-make the food. It is possible to pursue delicate flavors that machines cannot, and to manufacture food with the fine work that only a craftsman can do.
